We often get emails asking how much does it cost to tile an area. There are a number of factors you have to consider. The type of tile can change the cost. If its a natural stone the cost will be higher as more time and process is needed to install that stone tile. Do you have a pattern or a design? This to adds time. How many cuts will the room need? The more cuts the more time again and this could had to the cost.
Once you have the cost of the tiles, adhesive and grout, you need to factor in the cost of the installation of the tiles. Most tilers want around £100 to £150 per day. Time needs to be allocated for prep of the surface, planning, fixing the tiles in place, cutting and grouting. In some cases a plasterer will be needed to make good the walls. Sometimes we also have to level a floor up. This takes more time and more and money. If you choose UK Tiler we are already a tiler and a plasterer plus we also have a City & Guilds certificate in plumbing!
